- Temperament
- Drake is a happy boy. He is very sweet and affectionate, wants
nothing more than to make you happy, will climb in your lap and snooze
for hours, but really doesn't understand just how big he is yet.
We
got Drake as a puppy. He is all grown up now and ready for that
purrfect home. He is a fairly quiet guy, a bit reserved but very
affectionate. He has his high energy moments, but for his age he really
is a mellow fellow. He is housebroken, though as with many young males,
he can have the occasional piddle accident. He has basic training and
is easy to train. He is eager to please and fairly calm, and that is
why he is easy to work with and train. His ears aren't nearly so
silly looking now that he has grown up, but he still has that goofy
charm. He is deaf, and his vision is slightly impaired, but not enough
to cause him any real problems. However sometimes when you think he is
ignoring you, it is just because he doesn't see you (though there are
times when he is just ignoring you). He is a huge cuddler and a
very loving affectionate boy. He is going to make someone very happy.
He will mature to be a clam, easy going, devoted and affectionate dog
who will become very attached to his family. He is good with kids and
cats, and gets along well with other dogs too, though sometimes he can
intimidate Otes dogs with his size and his eagerness to play. He isn't
aggressive, he just does not realize his size, he still thinks he is
the little puppy who everyone will play with and who can be rough
because he is smaller than everyone else.
